Pet emergency plan

A few unplanned days in hospital is a blip for you.

Not for your pet at home with one day of water.

Pick how long we wait to hear from you. If we don’t, we check with you first, then send the people you chose what your animals need — how to get in, the food, the medication, the vet.

Telling them is our job. Being there is theirs.

We can’t promise someone arrives. We can promise the right people are asked, with what they need — and you can read exactly what they’d get before you decide. Free to use. US and Canada. See how it works.

Asked to be somebody’s emergency contact? Here’s what you’d get, and what you wouldn’t.

How it works

Four steps. Only one is a habit.

  1. 01

    Pick how long we wait

Whatever matches your life. We suggest two days.

  2. 02

Ask the people who would go

You invite them from your own phone. We only contact people who have given their consent.

  3. 03

    Check in

One tap on your phone or watch. Opening the app counts too. No feed, no streaks.

  4. 04

If we don’t hear from you

We ask you first. Then we ask the people you chose, closest first. Whoever says they can go gets your care plan.

What your person gets

Whoever goes knows what to do.

Only the person who says they can go gets your care plan: how to get in, what your animals eat, their medication, the vet. Everyone else is told you missed a check-in, and nothing about your home.

You can see yours in the app from the day you install it, free.

Why it holds

It still works on the bad day.

It works when your phone doesn’t

The timer runs on our servers, not your phone. A dead battery or a lost signal doesn’t switch it off — that’s the case it’s for.

Your phone never decides you’re okay

Your phone reports; our servers decide. A bug in the app can’t mark you as fine.

Fewer false alarms

If location is on, your phone moving around can count — you choose whether it does. Movement, never a map: whether the phone moved, not where it went.

Reminders you’ll notice

They arrive at slightly different times each day, so they don’t become something you swipe away without reading.

What it costs

Free is a real plan. Members pay for the part that costs money.

Free

Not a trial. Every account gets the same timing and the same people, asked in the same order. Your contacts are reached by email.

Members get texts and calls

Texts and calls as well as email, and one last call if nobody answers. We can only text or call a number once its owner has confirmed it — that costs us money, which is why texting is the paid part.

How your contacts are asked

Everyone in a group is emailed at once. Texts and calls go one at a time, so five phones don’t buzz for one answer. If nobody in a group can go, we move to the next. A text and an email about the same thing count as one ask.

There’s a limit

Nobody hears from us more than twice about the same silence. On a member’s plan there can be one last call, after everyone has been tried. Never a fourth.

No ads, ever

We don’t sell your data and we don’t run ads. Members pay for texts and calls. That’s the business.

Prices are shown in the app before anything is charged, and are handled by the App Store or Google Play. We are not making promises about future pricing yet — when a rate is fixed for a group of people, it will say so in the terms, in writing.
